Est '86 is a popular carbonated soft drink brand that was launched in Thailand in 2012. Originally developed by Sermsuk Public Company Limited, the brand was created as a strategic alternative following the end of Sermsuk's long-standing distribution partnership with PepsiCo. The '86' in the name celebrates the 86th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, which coincided with the brand's launch era.
Since its inception, Est has grown to become a dominant player in the Southeast Asian beverage market, particularly in Thailand. It is known for its wide variety of flavors, ranging from classic cola to citrus and various fruit blends. The brand emphasizes youthfulness and local refreshment, positioning itself against global giants like Coca-Cola and Pepsi.
Today, the brand is under the ultimate ownership of ThaiBev (Thai Beverage Public Company Limited), one of Southeast Asia's largest beverage companies. While primarily manufactured in Thailand by Sermsuk, the product is also produced and distributed in other regional markets such as Malaysia and Vietnam through various international subsidiaries and distribution networks owned by the parent company.
