7 Up is a globally recognized brand of lemon-lime flavored, non-caffeinated soft drink. It was originally created by Charles Leiper Grigg, who founded The Howdy Corporation in 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. The product, originally launched in 1929 as 'Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda', underwent several name changes before becoming the iconic 7 Up brand we know today.

The global ownership and distribution of 7 Up are unique compared to other major soft drink brands. In the United States, the brand is owned and manufactured by Keurig Dr Pepper. However, for all international markets outside of the U.S., including the European market depicted in the image (notable by the Spanish labeling 'Sabor Refrescante a Lima-Limón'), the brand is owned by PepsiCo.

Manufacturing occurs in multiple countries across many regional bottling plants to serve local markets efficiently. In Europe, these products are typically produced by local PepsiCo subsidiaries or licensed bottling partners such as PepsiCo Iberia for the Spanish market.
