Friggs is a well-established Swedish health-food brand that has become a staple in Nordic households. Founded in Sweden in 1968, the brand was a pioneer in bringing health-focused foods, such as rice cakes and corn cakes, to the mainstream retail market. The brand name is inspired by the Norse goddess Frigga, a symbol of motherhood and abundant harvest.
While identifying strongly with its Swedish heritage, Friggs operates with a decentralized manufacturing model. Most of its corn and rice cake products, including the Popcorn-flavored corn cakes, are produced in specialized facilities in Belgium—a regional hub for puffed grain production—or other European locations to serve the Nordic market efficiently. All product development, however, remains based in Sweden.
Since 2011, Friggs has been part of the Midsona Group (formerly Midelfart Sonesson), a leading Swedish consumer goods company specializing in organic and health-oriented brands. Midsona is headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, and is listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm. Friggs currently stands as one of Midsona's most successful and prioritized brands, with a strong presence across Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.
