K-Salat Russisk Salat is a classic Danish spread primarily made of beetroot cubes in a creamy dressing, traditionally served on rye bread. The brand 'K-Salat' is an abbreviation for 'Københavns Salatfabrik' (Copenhagen Salad Factory), which was founded in 1937.

While the brand has deep roots in Copenhagen's history, the production was moved to Havnsø in West Zealand, Denmark, where it has been a significant local employer for decades. The brand has changed hands several times in the corporate world. For many years it was part of the Rieber & Søn group, which was later acquired by Orkla. In 2017, the Danish food giant Stryhns Gruppen (owned by the Norwegian Agra group) acquired K-Salat from Orkla, bringing it under the same umbrella as other iconic Danish brands like Stryhns Leverpostej.
