KiMs Crunch Cut Læsø Sydesalt chips

KiMs is Denmark's most iconic snack brand, deeply rooted in Danish food culture since its founding in the early 1960s. Originally established by Odense Marcipanfabrik, the brand has grown to become the market leader in potato chips and snacks within Denmark. The production remains centered in Søndersø, Funen, where millions of bags are produced annually for the Scandinavian market.

While KiMs started as a domestic Danish company, it is currently owned by Orkla ASA, a major Norwegian conglomerate. Orkla acquired KiMs as part of its acquisition of the Chips Group in the mid-2000s. Today, KiMs operates under the Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Danmark division, ensuring that while the ownership is Norwegian, the brand identity and manufacturing remain firmly Danish.
