Phytoervas is a pioneering Brazilian brand in the 'Cosmética Integral' (Integral Cosmetics) concept, founded in 1986 by entrepreneur Cristiana Arcangeli. The brand was famous for being one of the first in Brazil to use natural plant extracts and to remove salt and sulfates from its formulations.

Over the decades, the brand's ownership has changed hands several times. It was previously owned by Nasha International and later acquired by the Brazilian conglomerate Flora Produtos de Higiene e Limpeza (part of the J&F Investimentos group) in 2011. Today, Phytoervas continues to be a major player in the Brazilian natural personal care market, with production facilities located in Brazil to serve the national and regional markets.
