Wilson is an iconic American brand that has become synonymous with sports equipment worldwide. Originally founded in Chicago in the early 20th century, the brand has built a long-standing reputation for professional-grade basketballs, American footballs, and tennis gear.

Today, Wilson Sporting Goods is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. While the brand maintains high-end production facilities in the United States for certain professional lines (notably the NFL game balls in Ohio), the high-volume production of the most common consumer balls such as basketballs and volleyballs occurs primarily in specialized factories across Asia, including China, Thailand, and Vietnam. The brand is currently owned by the multinational Amer Sports, which in turn is controlled by a consortium including the investment group ANTA Sports.
