Linera Goed Begin margarine

Linera Goed Begin is a popular plant-based margarine spread primarily sold in the Dutch market. It is part of the Linera brand family, which has been established for decades as a health-conscious alternative to traditional butter, focusing on lower fat content and added vitamins.

Originally developed by the Dutch-British conglomerate Unilever, the brand was part of its massive spreads portfolio. However, in 2018, Unilever sold its entire global spreads division to the American private equity firm KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.). This led to the formation of Upfield, which now serves as the ultimate parent company. Upfield is headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and continues to produce the product locally for the Benelux region.
