The ICEE brand is an American icon in the frozen beverage industry, famously known for its fluffy, carbonated slushie texture and signature blue raspberry and cherry flavors. The product was invented by Frank Liberman/Omar Knedlik in the late 1950s after a broken soda fountain led to the discovery of semi-frozen bottled sodas. This innovation eventually led to the development of the high-performance ICEE machines found in cinemas, gas stations, and amusement parks globally.

Today, ICEE is a subsidiary of J&J Snack Foods Corp. While the brand originated in the United States, its presence is global through extensive franchising and distribution networks.
