Liza is one of Brazil's most recognized and traditional brands in the vegetable oil segment. Launched in the 1970s, it revolutionized the domestic market by introducing soybean oil in plastic packaging, replacing the old metal tins. Over the decades, the brand expanded its portfolio to include specialty oils such as sunflower, canola, and corn, as well as mayonnaise and salad dressings.

The brand was originally created by the Brazilian company Anderson Clayton. In the late 1990s, the brand was acquired by Cargill, a major global player in the food, agriculture, and industrial sectors. Today, Liza is the flagship brand of Cargill's consumer products division in Brazil. The products are primarily manufactured in several industrial units across Brazil, utilizing locally sourced crops to supply both domestic and international markets.
