Biffi Milano 1852 is a prestigious Italian brand with roots dating back to the mid-19th century. Originally founded as a pastry shop (Offelleria Biffi) by Paolo Biffi in 1852, the brand gained fame as a symbol of Milanese gastronomic excellence, even serving the Italian Royal House.
In the 1980s, the brand was acquired by Formec, a company founded by Pietro Casella in 1966 that specialized in the production of sauces. Following the acquisition, the company became Formec Biffi S.p.A. The product shown, 'la Maionese Italiana', is a premium mayonnaise produced at the company's plant in San Rocco al Porto (Lodi), Italy. It is part of a wide range of condiments that combine historical artisan tradition with modern food manufacturing techniques. The brand remains under the private ownership of the Casella family through Formec Biffi.
