Almondy almond cake

Almondy is a renowned Swedish bakery brand famous for its almond-based cakes. The company's history dates back to 1982 when two friends, Kent and Lennart, decided to bake cakes based on a secret Swedish recipe from the 1890s. The unique selling point of Almondy cakes is that they are naturally gluten-free, substituting flour with almond bases.

All Almondy cakes are produced at their dedicated bakery in Torslanda, just outside Gothenburg, Sweden. From this facility, they export their frozen desserts to more than 50 countries worldwide. The brand has grown from a local Swedish success into a global household name, frequently found in major retailers and IKEA stores.

In terms of ownership, Almondy was acquired in 2015 by the Danish company Givesco Bakery. Givesco Bakery is a family-owned industrial group with deep roots in the baking industry, providing the brand with long-term stability and resources for international expansion while maintaining the original production site in Sweden.
