Nicorette is a leading brand in nicotine replacement therapy, first developed in Sweden during the late 1960s by Leo AB. The brand was specifically created to help smokers quit by providing a controlled doses of nicotine through medicated chewing gum. Today, much of the global supply is still manufactured in Helsingborg, Sweden, at one of the world's most advanced facilities for smokers' health products.

Ownership of the brand has transitioned through several major pharmaceutical acquisitions. Originally a product of Leo AB (and later Pharmacia), it became part of the Johnson & Johnson portfolio following their acquisition of Pfizer's consumer healthcare division in 2006. In 2023, Johnson & Johnson spun off its consumer health business into a new independent company called Kenvue, which now serves as the ultimate owner of Nicorette globally. In Denmark, the brand is managed by McNeil Denmark ApS, a local subsidiary under the Kenvue umbrella.
