Rioba white sugar

Rioba is a private label brand specifically developed for the hospitality and catering industry (HoReCa). It was launched by the Metro Group to provide high-quality professional products ranging from coffee and tea to sweeteners and snacks. The sugar shown in the image is a common single-serve sachet used in restaurants and cafes across Europe.

While the brand has its roots in Germany as part of the Metro portfolio, the manufacturing of sugar sachets is often localized to the region of distribution to minimize logistics costs. In the Spanish market, Rioba products are distributed through Makro (the Spanish subsidiary of Metro AG). The ultimate ownership remains with Metro AG, a leading international wholesale and food specialist company based in Düsseldorf.
