JBL is a historic American audio brand founded in 1946 by James Bullough Lansing. The brand has a rich heritage in professional audio, supplying equipment for cinemas and concert stages globally before expanding into consumer electronics like these true wireless earbuds.
Today, JBL is a subsidiary of Harman International Industries. Since 2017, Harman (and consequently JBL) has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of the South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics. This ownership combines American audio engineering expertise with Samsung's advanced digital technology and global supply chain resources.
While the brand's design and engineering are headquartered in the United States, manufacturing is primarily carried out in China and other specialized Asian production hubs to maintain high output for the global market.
