The brand focuses on providing affordable electronic accessories such as cables, chargers, and headphones. While the brand was conceived in Germany by the retail giant Ceconomy AG (formerly part of Metro Group), the actual production is outsourced to manufacturers in China to maintain competitive pricing.

Ownership of ISY lies with Imtron GmbH, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group. This group is controlled by Ceconomy AG, a leading European consumer electronics retailer headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany. This structure allows the retailers to offer exclusive, generic-alternative products directly to their customers across various European markets.
