Fernandes is an iconic soft drink brand with a rich history rooted in Suriname. It was founded in 1939 by Jule Fernandes, whose family had secured the Coca-Cola bottling franchise for Suriname just a year prior. Originally a local family enterprise, the brand became a cultural staple known for its tropical, intensely fruity flavors like Cherry Bouquet, Green Punch, and Super Pineapple.

Today, the brand operates through a unique dual-manufacturing structure. In its home country of Suriname, it is produced and distributed by the Fernandes Bottling Company (part of the Fernandes Group). For the European and international markets, the brand has been integrated into the Coca-Cola system. Specifically, in the Netherlands and the wider Benelux region, Fernandes is manufactured under license by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP).

While the Fernandes Group in Suriname maintains a strong local identity and partnership, the intellectual property and global brand rights for the soft drinks are largely managed within the Coca-Cola ecosystem. This allows the brand to benefit from a global distribution network while preserving its original Surinamese heritage and secret family flavor profiles.
