Erasco Chili con Carne

Erasco is one of Germany's most traditional and well-known brands for canned soups and ready-meals. The brand originated in Lübeck, Germany, where the company Paul Erasmi & Co. was founded in the late 19th century. Today, the products are still primarily manufactured in Germany, specifically at the main production facility in Lübeck. Since 2002, Erasco has been part of the Campbell Soup Company family, but in 2013, the European simple meals business (including Erasco) was acquired by the private equity firm CVC Capital Partners. This led to the formation of the Continental Foods group, which was subsequently acquired by the Spanish company GBfoods in 2019. Consequently, while the brand remains deeply rooted in German culinary culture, its ultimate ownership resides with GBfoods, headquartered in Spain.
