Theraflu is a well-known brand of over-the-counter cold and flu medications. It was originally developed by the Swiss pharmaceutical company Sandoz (which later merged with Ciba-Geigy to form Novartis). The brand became a cornerstone of the Novartis consumer health portfolio for decades. In 2015, Novartis and GSK (GlaxoSmithKline) combined their consumer healthcare units into a joint venture, and eventually, the brand was spun off as part of Haleon in 2022.
Today, Haleon is an independent global leader in consumer health, headquartered in the United Kingdom. For the Mexican market, Theraflu is typically manufactured in local facilities or imported through Haleon's regional supply chain. The product featured is the lemon-flavored night version containing Paracetamol, Pheniramine, and Phenylephrine, specifically marketed for severe cold symptoms in Mexico.
