The brand has undergone several ownership changes over the decades, evolving from a family business into a global snack powerhouse. Since 2014, McVitie's has been part of pladis, a global biscuit and confectionery company. pladis is owned by Yildiz Holding, a large Turkish multinational conglomerate that also owns other major brands like Godiva Chocolatier and Ulker. This acquisition solidified McVitie's position as a key player in the international snack market.
