Vim is a historic household cleaning brand with a legacy spanning over a century. Originally introduced in 1904 by William Lever (Lever Brothers, later Unilever) in the United Kingdom, it became famous for its scouring powder. While Unilever remains the owner in markets like India and Canada, the brand's European operations have undergone several ownership changes.
In Italy, the brand was acquired by the German multinational Henkel from Unilever. Later, in 2021, the Italian company Coswell S.p.A. acquired Vim from Henkel. Today, Coswell manages the brand's production and distribution in Italy, expanding the line from traditional powders to liquid degreasers and floor cleaners like the 'Vim Liquido' shown. The product is primarily manufactured in Italy to serve the local domestic market under Coswell's portfolio.
