While the brand was originally a family-owned British enterprise, its ownership has transitioned through several hands. In 2017, the Bart Ingredients Company was acquired by the Fuchs Group (Fuchs Gruppe), Germany's largest spice manufacturer. This acquisition allowed Barts to leverage Fuchs' global supply chain and manufacturing expertise while maintaining its core identity as a premium British brand.

Today, Barts products are primarily sourced from around the globe to ensure authentic flavor, but the blending, packing, and distribution are centered in the United Kingdom. The brand continues to focus on innovation and quality under the stewardship of its German parent company, ensuring that the legacy of the Bartlam family lives on in kitchens across Europe.
