Thomy is a premium brand of condiments with a rich history dating back to its Swiss origin in 1907 when Hans Thomi began producing mustard. The brand officially launched as 'Thomy' in 1930 and became famous for being the first to sell mustard in tubes. In 1954, Thomy expanded its product line to include mayonnaise, which remains one of its most iconic products today.
The brand was acquired by the Swiss multinational food and drink conglomerate Nestlé in 1971. Today, Thomy is a household name across Europe, particularly in Germany and Switzerland. Production largely takes place in Germany (notably at the factory in Neuss) and Switzerland (Basel) to serve the DACH region and beyond. The brand is managed under Nestlé's extensive global portfolio, maintaining its reputation for high-quality ingredients such as free-range eggs and sustainable oils.
