Roku TV is a smart television platform developed by the American digital media company Roku, Inc. Unlike traditional TV brands, Roku primarily licenses its purpose-built operating system to various original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as TCL Corporation, Hisense, and Sharp to produce the physical hardware.
Starting in 2023, Roku began manufacturing its own branded television sets as well. The production is handled through global supply chains with major assembly hubs located in Mexico (for the North American market), China, and Vietnam. The brand is synonymous with the pioneering of the streaming industry, having transitioned from a hardware-only company to a dominant software platform provider in the global smart TV market.
