Primark is a renowned international fast-fashion retailer that offers a wide range of products including clothing for men, women, and children, as well as home goods, beauty products, and accessories. Originally founded in Dublin, Ireland, in 1969 under the name Penneys, the brand expanded into the United Kingdom in 1973. Due to trademark restrictions outside of Ireland (where the JCPenney brand holds rights), the retailer adopted the name Primark for its international operations. Today, it remains one of the largest fashion retailers in Europe by volume.

While the brand is headquartered in Ireland, its products are manufactured through a global supply chain. Primark does not own any factories; instead, it sources goods from independent suppliers located primarily in Asia and Europe, including China, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Vietnam. The brand is owned by Associated British Foods (ABF), a diversified international food, ingredients, and retail group based in London.
