Thai-Denmark yogurt is a well-known dairy product in Thailand, produced by the Dairy Farming Promotion Organization of Thailand (DPO). The brand's history dates back to 1962, following a state visit by King Bhumibol Adulyadej to Denmark, which led to a collaboration between the Thai and Danish governments to establish a dairy farm and training center in Muak Lek, Saraburi. This initiative was designed to promote dairy farming culture and provide high-quality milk to the Thai population.
Today, the brand remains under the stewardship of the DPO, a state enterprise under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand. While the branding pays homage to the original Danish partnership, the production is entirely local, utilizing milk from Thai dairy farmers. The yogurt shown is a common household staple, recognized by its red cow and blue banner logo.
