The Nescafé Dolce Gusto Genio is a popular capsule-based espresso machine produced under the Arno brand in the Brazilian market. The Dolce Gusto system was originally co-developed by Nestlé, a Swiss multinational, and Krups, a German appliance manufacturer. In Brazil, the manufacturing and distribution of these appliances are handled by Arno, a historic Brazilian brand with deep roots in domestic appliance production.
Arno was founded in 1944 in São Paulo and became a household name in Brazil. In 1997, the company was acquired by the French multinational Groupe SEB. Today, while the electronic components and specific models are often manufactured in industrial hubs such as China to meet global demand, the brand identity remains strongly associated with Brazilian domestic utility through Groupe SEB's local operations.
