The ING TAN generator (also known as a 'Digipass') is an authentication device used by ING customers for secure online banking transactions. ING (Internationale Nederlanden Groep) is a global financial institution of Dutch origin, formed in 1991 through the merger of NMB Postbank Group and the insurance company Nationale-Nederlanden. The physical hardware tokens are commonly manufactured in China by strategic partners such as OneSpan (formerly VASCO Data Security) or Gemalto, who specialize in digital security solutions for global financial institutions.
