The Cadbury Moro is a popular chocolate bar primarily sold in New Zealand and Australia, known for its unique combination of nougat and caramel coated in milk chocolate. Originally inspired by similar European bars, the Moro brand has long been a staple of the Oceanian confectionery market, particularly gaining a cult following in New Zealand.
While the Cadbury brand itself originated in the United Kingdom in 1824, most manufacturing for the New Zealand and Australian markets transitioned to Australia after the closure of the iconic Dunedin factory in 2018. The brand is currently owned by Mondelēz International, a global snack food conglomerate based in the United States, which acquired the Cadbury business following the 2010 takeover of Cadbury plc by Kraft Foods. Today, Mondelēz manages Moro through its regional subsidiaries in Australia and New Zealand.
