Yoki Polvilho Doce

Yoki is a quintessentially Brazilian brand that has become a staple in South American kitchens, particularly known for its cassava-based products. The brand was founded in 1960 by Yoshizo Kitano, a Japanese immigrant whose initials (Yo-Ki) give the company its name. It originally started as 'Kitano S.A.' before evolving into the Yoki brand in 1990.

In 2012, Yoki was acquired by the American multinational General Mills. This acquisition integrated the traditional Brazilian flavors and ingredients into a global distribution network. Most Yoki products, including 'Polvilho Doce' (sweet cassava starch), are manufactured in Brazil, where the raw materials are natively sourced and processed to ensure authentic quality for regional and international markets.
