Hennessy is the world's leading Cognac house, with a history dating back to 1765 when it was founded by Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer serving in the army of Louis XV. The product featured is the Hennessy Very Special (V.S), which is the modern descendant of the famous Hennessy 3-Star Cognac. True to the strict regulations of the AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée), the entire production process—from the cultivation of Ugni Blanc grapes to distillation and aging in French oak barrels—takes place in the Cognac region of France.
Over the centuries, the brand has evolved from a family-run business into a global luxury icon. In 1971, Hennessy merged with Moët & Chandon to form Moët Hennessy. Later, in 1987, Moët Hennessy merged with Louis Vuitton to create the luxury conglomerate LVMH. Today, Hennessy remains a cornerstone of the LVMH portfolio, representing prestige and craftsmanship. While LVMH is the primary owner, the British spirits giant Diageo also holds a significant 34% stake in Moët Hennessy, the wine and spirits division of LVMH.
