Rahbek is a classic Danish seafood brand, originally founded as Rahbekfisk in Esbjerg, Denmark, in 1955. The brand is well-known for its high-quality frozen seafood products, particularly its iconic salmon in puff pastry (Indbagt Laks).
In the late 1980s, Rahbekfisk was acquired by Royal Greenland, but in 2017, the brand and its production facilities were sold to the French seafood group, Espersen. While the brand is now under an ultimate owner located in France (via Espersen's structures), the production for the Danish and Nordic markets remains primarily centered in Denmark and Poland, maintaining its heritage of Danish seafood craftsmanship and quality standards.
