Barratt is a classic British confectionery brand with a rich heritage dating back to 1848 when it was founded by George Osborne Barratt in Shoreditch, London. Known for iconic childhood sweets seperti Dip Dabs, Sherbet Fountains, and Fruit Salads, the brand has remained a staple of the UK confectionery market for over a century and a half.

Today, the brand is owned by Valeo Foods Group through its subsidiary, Valeo Confectionery (formerly Tangerine Confectionery). Production is primarily centered in the United Kingdom, specifically at long-standing facilities like those in Pontefract and York. Following its acquisition by the global investment firm Bain Capital in 2021, the parent company Valeo Foods continues to manage the brand's distribution and global reach from its headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
