Vitarella is a prominent Brazilian brand, founded in 1993 in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Pernambuco, by the company Alimentos Vitarella. Known initially for its pasta and biscuits, the brand quickly became one of the leaders in the Brazilian market due to its quality and traditional flavors like the 'água e sal' (water and salt) crackers shown.
In 2008, Vitarella was acquired by M. Dias Branco, a major Brazilian food conglomerate and the largest biscuit and pasta manufacturer in Brazil. The products are manufactured locally in several industrial units across the country, maintaining a strong presence in the Northeast region and expanding nationwide. Today, it remains under the ownership of M. Dias Branco S.A., headquartered in Eusébio, Ceará.
