Pilão Roasted and Ground Coffee

Pilão is one of Brazil's most iconic coffee brands, established in 1978. It is widely recognized as "The Strong Coffee of Brazil" (O Café Forte do Brasil) due to its characteristic dark roast and intense flavor profile that caters to the traditional Brazilian palate.

Originally launched by the Brazilian company Pão de Açúcar, the brand has undergone several ownership changes over the decades. Today, Pilão is owned by JDE Peet's, the world's largest pure-play coffee and tea company. While the brand remains deeply rooted in Brazilian culture and is manufactured locally in Brazil using Brazilian beans, its ultimate corporate parent is headquartered in the Netherlands. JDE Peet's continues to manage Pilão as a flagship brand in the South American market.
