L'OR is a premium coffee brand originally established in France in 1992 with the goal of providing high-quality coffee competing with the luxury market. Its soluble range, like the Classique variety shown, is widely distributed globally. Manufacturing for L'OR takes place in several strategic locations depending on the region, including production facilities in the Netherlands and local processing units in target markets.
Historically, the brand was part of the Dutch company D.E Master Blenders 1753. Following a series of mergers and spin-offs, it is now owned by JDE Peet's, a global coffee and tea powerhouse. JDE Peet's was formed through the merger of Jacobs Douwe Egberts and the American coffee chain Peet's Coffee. The ultimate ownership lies with JAB Holding Company, a private conglomerate headquartered in Luxembourg, which maintains a majority stake in JDE Peet's.
