Interton is a well-established brand in the audiology sector, originally founded in Germany in 1962. It initially gained prominence as a family-owned business specializing in the development of hearing solutions that prioritize essential performance and affordability for users worldwide.

In 2005, Interton was acquired by the GN Group (GN Store Nord), a Danish multinational leader in intelligent audio solutions. This acquisition allowed Interton to leverage GN's advanced research and development facilities. Today, the brand is managed under the GN Hearing division, alongside sister brands like ReSound and Beltone.

Manufacturing for Interton products occurs across GN Group's global supply chain. While design and engineering are primarily centered in Denmark and Germany, production and assembly take place in multiple international locations, including major facilities in China, Malaysia, and Europe to meet global demand.
