LEDVANCE Outdoor Lighting

LEDVANCE is a global leader in the lighting industry, specializing in energy-efficient LED luminaires and smart home lighting solutions. The brand originated in Germany as a spin-off from the lighting division of OSRAM GmbH in 2016. It was established to carry forward the general lighting business of its parent company, combining traditional lighting heritage with modern LED innovations.

While the brand has German roots, its ownership shifted shortly after its inception. In 2017, LEDVANCE was acquired by a Chinese consortium consisting of IDG Capital, MLS Co., LTD. (one of the world's largest LED manufacturers), and Yiwu State-Owned Assets Operation Center. Eventually, MLS Co., LTD. became the sole owner. Consequently, while R&D and design often remain centered in Europe and Germany, manufacturing is primarily consolidated in high-tech facilities across China to leverage scale and supply chain efficiencies.
