Arla Bio is a prominent organic dairy line under the Arla brand, which has its roots in a cooperative structure formed by dairy farmers across Northern Europe. Originally emerging from the merger of dairy cooperatives in Sweden and Denmark, the brand has become a global leader in sustainable dairy production.

Today, Arla is owned by Arla Foods amba, a cooperative owned by over 8,000 farmers across seven European countries (Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands). While the brand originated from a Danish-Swedish merger, Arla Bio products sold in Germany are predominantly produced at local German Arla sites using organic milk from German cooperative members, ensuring short transport routes and compliance with regional organic standards.
