Delícia is a historic Brazilian margarine brand, originally launched in 1959 by the company SANBRA (Sociedade Algodoeira do Nordeste Brasileiro), which later became part of Bunge Alimentos. For decades, it established itself as a staple in Brazilian households, known for its innovations in packaging and texture.
In late 2020, following an agreement reached in 2019, the brand was acquired by Seara Alimentos, a subsidiary of JBS S.A., as part of a R$ 700 million deal that included Bunge's margarine and mayonnaise assets. Today, the product is manufactured in Brazil at specialized plants in locations such as São Paulo, Santa Catarina, and Pernambuco. The brand continues to lead in innovation, notably being the first in the country to incorporate heavy cream (creme de leite) into its formula for enhanced flavor and creaminess.
