Maxim is a well-established brand of paper napkins and tissue products in the Brazilian market. Originally developed by Sepac (Serrana Papéis e Celulose), a Brazilian company founded in the state of Paraná, the brand has become a household name for affordable and quality hygiene products. In 2019, Sepac was acquired by Softys, the tissue and personal care subsidiary of the Chilean multinational CMPC (Compañía Manufacturera de Papeles y Cartones).
The product shown is manufactured in Brazil, where Softys remains a dominant player in the paper sector. Ownership of the Maxim brand now lies with Softys, which is headquartered in Santiago, Chile. Through this acquisition, CMPC significantly expanded its footprint in the South American hygiene market, integrating Sepac's industrial facilities and popular brands into its global portfolio.
