Listerine Advanced Nightly Reset is a specialized fluoride mouthwash designed for evening use to remineralize enamel and fight the effects of daily food and drink. The brand's history dates back to 1879, when it was formulated by Dr. Joseph Lawrence and Jordan Wheat Lambert in the United States, named after Sir Joseph Lister, the pioneer of antiseptic surgery.

Originally marketed as a surgical antiseptic and floor cleaner, it became a household staple for oral hygiene in the early 20th century. For decades, it was the flagship product of the Lambert Pharmacal Company (which later became Warner-Lambert). In 2006, the brand was acquired by Johnson & Johnson. In 2023, Johnson & Johnson spun off its consumer health division into a new, independent company called Kenvue. Kenvue now serves as the ultimate owner, managing the brand's global distribution and manufacturing, with major production facilities for the European market located in Italy.
