Semperit tires and industrial rubber products

Semperit is a historic Austrian brand with deep roots in the rubber industry. The brand name itself is derived from the Latin phrase 'semper it', meaning 'it always works'. Originally established in Wimpassing, Austria, it became a pioneer in tire and rubber manufacturing in Europe.

Today, the Semperit brand operates in two distinct sectors with separate ownership. The tire division was acquired by the German corporation Continental AG in 1985, and Semperit tires are now produced in various Continental plants across Europe. Meanwhile, the industrial sector (producing hoses, belts, and medical gloves) remained under Semperit AG Holding, an Austrian-listed company. The industrial division was recently acquired by the Southeast Asian firm HARPS Global in late 2023, while the tire brand remains under Continental's stewardship.
