Fox's is a historic British biscuit brand that dates back to 1853, when Michael Spedding began making sweets from his small bakery in Batley, West Yorkshire. The brand eventually became Fox's Biscuits after his daughter, Hannah, married Fred Ellis Fox. Today, Fox's is celebrated for its indulgent range of biscuits, including the famous 'Chocolatey' line of half-coated cookies seen in the image.
The manufacturing process remains primarily based in the UK, with major sites in Batley, Kirkham, and Uttoxeter. These facilities produce hundreds of millions of biscuits annually for the British and international markets. The brand focuses on premium ingredients, particularly the thickness of their chocolate coatings, which has become a signature selling point.
Ownership of the brand has transitioned through several major food corporations. Historically part of Northern Foods and later Boparan Holdings (2 Sisters Food Group), Fox's was acquired by the Ferrero Group in late 2020. It currently operates under CTH Invest, an affiliate of the Ferrero Group, which is headquartered in Luxembourg. This acquisition integrated Fox's into one of the world's largest confectionery portfolios alongside brands like Nutella and Kinder.
