The brand was founded in 1939 by Herbert Felix, an Austrian immigrant, in Eslöv, Sweden. Today, the majority of Felix's pickled products, including these sliced beetroots, are still produced in Sweden, specifically at their facility in Eslöv, using locally grown produce marked with the 'Från Sverige' (From Sweden) label.

While Felix has deep Swedish heritage, the brand is currently owned by Orkla, a leading Norwegian consumer goods company. Orkla acquired the brand through its purchase of Procordia Food. Felix remains a household staple in Sweden, symbolizing tradition and high-quality local farming.
