Originally founded in Sweden in 1991 by the consumer cooperative KF (Kooperativa Förbundet), the brand quickly expanded across Scandinavia. Today, the brand is owned collectively by the major Nordic consumer cooperatives. In Denmark, this is Coop Danmark A/S.
