Zero-Cal is the leading brand of sweeteners in Brazil and has been a household staple for decades. Originally launched as a sodium saccharin and sodium cyclamate blend, it became famous for its iconic drip bottle, which allows for precise calorie control in beverages like coffee and juice.
The brand was originally developed and produced in Brazil. For many years, it was part of the portfolio of Hypermarcas (now Hypera Pharma). In late 2015, the consumer brands division of Hypermarcas, which included Zero-Cal, was acquired by the multinational consumer goods company Coty Inc.
While Coty is the ultimate owner, the product continues to be manufactured primarily in Brazil to serve the Latin American market. It remains one of the most recognized consumer healthcare brands in the region, known for its extensive range of liquid and powder sugar alternatives.
