Granado Pharmácias is one of Brazil's most traditional and historic cosmetic brands, founded in 1870 by José Antônio Coxito Granado in Rio de Janeiro. Known for its medicinal and botanical heritage, it was the official pharmacy of the Brazilian Imperial Family.
The product shown is the Manteiga Emoliente (Emollient Butter) from the Pink ('Rosa') line, specifically designed for skin hydration. The manufacturing is centered in Brazil, primarily at their industrial complex in Japeri, Rio de Janeiro. While the brand has expanded significantly internationally, including boutique stores in Paris and Lisbon, its core identity and production remain deeply rooted in Brazilian heritage. Since the late 1990s, the company has been owned by the Freeman family, but in recent years, the Spanish luxury group Puig acquired a minority stake to fuel international growth, though the ultimate control remains with the Brazilian-based group managed by the Freeman family.
