Doğanay Şalgam is a traditional Turkish fermented beverage made from black carrots, salt, and bulgur, specifically this version is the 'Acılı' (spicy) variety. The brand Doğanay was established in Turkey in 1997 and has become a leading producer of this regional specialty. While the brand operated as a family-owned business for many years, it was acquired by the major Turkish FMCG company Pasifik Gıda in 2021. The production is concentrated in Turkey, primarily in the Adana region which is the historical home of Şalgam. Today, it is exported globally through various distributors to serve both international markets and the Turkish diaspora.
