Água das Pedras

Água das Pedras is a premium brand of naturally carbonated mineral water originating from the Trás-os-Montes region in northern Portugal. The water is sourced from the Pedras Salgadas springs, which have been renowned for their therapeutic properties since Roman times, though commercial exploitation began in 1871.

Unlike many sparkling waters that have CO2 added artificially, Água das Pedras is rare because it is naturally carbonated at the source. This unique geological characteristic has made it a market leader in the sparkling water segment in Portugal and a recognized export product worldwide.

The brand is currently owned by Super Bock Group, the largest Portuguese beverage company. While the group has international partnerships, specifically with the Carlsberg Group which holds a significant minority stake, the brand remains deeply rooted in Portuguese heritage and its production continues to be centered at its original source in Pedras Salgadas.
